The abandoned soviet HARP

Almost before the collapse of the Soviet Union near Kharkov was built an ionospheric research station , which was directly analogous to the American HAARP project in Alaska.

The station complex consisted of several antenna fields and a giant parabolic antenna 25 meters in diameter, capable of emitting a power of about 25 MW.

But the young Ukrainian state did not need advanced and very expensive scientific equipment.

We arrived there in the morning.
